New Petition for Mahmoud Abbas to resign

I created the following Petition online calling for Mahmoud Abbas to resign and step down.

Read below and kindly sign the Petition.

To: U.N, U.S Congress, The Arab League

This is a petition calling the current Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his government to resign and step down. The Palestinian People have had enough with the failures of this government and the disclaimer of Palestinian rights by putting the Goldstone report on hold. The Goldstone Report which has accused Israel for the first time in committing War crimes and human rights violation that is supported my most European countries.

Abbas has put the Peace Process in danger by appointing the current corrupted government, ignored Israel’s atrocities and ethnic cleansing in Occupied East Jerusalem and the continuous building of the Illegal settlements in the West Bank all because of his personal interests.

It is time for new leadership in Palestine that will lead the Palestinians to Peace and Prosperity. We need someone like Mustafa Barghouti and Hanan Ashrawi.

Sincerely,

Ali Dahmash

is there anything he has done that you think he has done well? that you appreciate?

Abbas term was ended long time ago, he is still in power because enemies of Palestinian people wants him there .
i believe your Petition should say " Palestinians want USA and Israel to take their baby back "
however, i will singe your Petition

Signed it. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

so disrespectful - i think thats harsh..

imagine what the middle east would look like if our left wing leaders were treated that way.. actually hang on - they are - by your mates avigdor lieberman and bibi..

how nice for you.. congrats..

It very hard to be a gd leader when you surrounded by a powerful country wsh is not supporting Palestine....

Don't know if that comment was directed to me, Lirun, but in case it was, Bibi and Lieberman are hardly my mates. My government may behave differently, but I don't align myself with my government's wishes, particularly with issues in the Levant.

I think Anon is correct that it is hard to be a good leader when the major powers only pay lip service to generating a Palestinian state. But did Abbas ever try? I wasn't even educated in mideast issues when he came to power, and I remember thinking: "They've created a yes-man; that is why everyone wants to negociate with him."

I too would be interested if anyone else has found virtue in his work.
